Central Coast Mariners Strengthen Attack With Talia Kapetanellis Signing
Central Coast Mariners have strengthened their attacking options ahead of the 2026–27 A-League Women season with the signing of forward Talia Kapetanellis.
Kapetanellis is one of three new additions to the Mariners squad, joining midfielders Te Reremoana Walker and Charlotte Lancaster as the club prepares for the upcoming campaign.
The forward joins Central Coast after an impressive spell with NPL NSW side APIA Leichhardt. She previously featured in the A-League Women competition with Western Sydney Wanderers during the 2024–25 season.
Kapetanellis enjoyed a productive campaign with APIA Leichhardt, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists. Her strong attacking form has earned her another opportunity at the national level.
Central Coast Mariners head coach Dean Heffernan welcomed the three new signings and praised their early integration into the squad.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome these three girls to the football club,” Heffernan said in a club announcement.
He added that the players had settled into the team exceptionally well and expressed confidence that the club’s training environment would help them reach their full potential.
Kapetanellis, Walker and Lancaster will join the Mariners squad for pre-season training as the club prepares for its opening match against Brisbane Roar on Saturday, October 17.
