The Kansas State football program is bolstering its defensive front with the addition of junior-college transfer Elijah Jackson. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 292 pounds, the sophomore defensive tackle announced his commitment to head coach Collin Klein and the Wildcats for the upcoming season. Jackson recorded 13 tackles, including two tackles for loss, last year at Hutchinson Community College. A native of Williston, Florida, he had originally committed to Charlotte, but after recently being granted a release from his scholarship, he began considering other opportunities.
Klein and K-State quickly expressed interest, and Jackson pledged to the Wildcats soon after. Though his commitment came too late for him to participate in spring drills, Jackson intends to arrive in Manhattan in May and take part in summer workouts. He will add depth to a current group of five interior defensive linemen on the K-State roster.
