BREAKING NEWS: Auburn Tigers top star flips to Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats have added another commitment to their 2027 recruiting class, flipping tight end Trae “Tank” Proctor from the Auburn Tigers, per Steve Wiltfong. After weeks of growing buzz linking him to Kentucky, Proctor made the switch official on Thursday.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound standout from American Heritage (Florida) originally pledged to Auburn in January, but Will Stein and his staff stayed persistent in their pursuit, ultimately securing the flip. Proctor is rated as a three-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite, checking in at No. 761 overall, No. 41 among tight ends, and No. 73 in Florida.

He drew interest from several major programs, including Miami, Florida, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, SMU, Iowa, and Missouri.

With Proctor on board, Kentucky now has nine commitments in its 2027 class the first full recruiting cycle under Stein offering plenty of optimism about the program’s future trajectory.
