For the first time since his shocking trade, Luka Dončić faced off against the Dallas Mavericks. The former franchise star posted 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists, becoming the third player in NBA history to record a triple-double against all 30 teams, joining LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.

Mavericks head coach JJ Redick acknowledged the “weird” nature of the game, urging players to embrace the awkwardness. Kyrie Irving, who scored a game-high 35 points, called it “awkward as [expletive].” LeBron James, understanding the emotional toll of facing a former team, praised Dončić for how he managed the situation. “It’s very taxing… but I thought he handled it tremendously,” James said.
