Many people left the Kentucky Derby having lost their bets, but Trent Noah wasn’t one of them. His hunch might have led to a significant payout.

Trent Noah chose Golden Tempo, and the 3-year-old bay colt delivered. Tempo displayed the endurance of his legendary sire, Curlin, helping Cherie DeVaux become the first female trainer to win the Kentucky Derby.
It was an incredible race, with Tempo surging late from the outside after an early setback. Perhaps Noah’s good fortune will carry over into the season as the junior aims to leave his mark in Lexington.
