The transfer portal season is in full swing, and Auburn is actively shaping its roster for the 2026-27 campaign.
On Tuesday, Steven Pearl’s coaching staff announced the latest pickup: South Alabama transfer Adam Olsen has committed to the Tigers.
Olsen, a 6-foot-8 forward, is known for his scoring ability, particularly from three-point range. As a junior in 2025-26, he started all 32 games, setting a school record with 102 made threes while shooting 39.1% from deep. He averaged 16.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, earning Second-Team All-Sun Belt honors.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Adam Olsen to our program,” Pearl said in a statement shared on social media. “Adam possesses what I’d call a superpower he’s one of the top three-point shooters in college basketball. If he sees it, he can make it. At 6’8” with a quick, high release, he’ll consistently get clean looks in an offense that has improved players’ shooting percentages year after year.
“Adam is far from one-dimensional. He’s a genuine three-level scorer who can hit mid-range shots and attack the basket, using his frame to finish through contact. His versatility across multiple positions creates matchup nightmares for opponents. Defensively, he’s eager to prove his adaptability his size and length allow him to guard various positions and make plays.
“He’s ready to have the best summer of his career, putting in work in the weight room with Coach D and continuing to develop on the court with our staff. We can’t wait to have Adam on campus and get started. War Eagle!”
Olsen’s commitment follows recent additions from Troy’s Thomas Dowd and Creighton’s Owen Freeman.
