MONTANA STATE GRIZZLIES STUN PORTLAND STATE VIKINGS IN THRILLING 31-28 COMEBACK VICTORY
The Montana State Grizzlies football team pulled off an electrifying comeback win against the Portland State Vikings last night at Bobcat Stadium. Trailing 21-10 at halftime, the Grizzlies scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to secure a 31-28 victory.
Quarterback Sean Chambers led the charge, throwing for 272 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Isaiah Ifanse added 123 yards on the ground and a crucial score. Wide receiver Willie Patterson hauled in seven receptions for 102 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown catch that sealed the win.
The Grizzlies’ defense, led by linebacker Callahan O’Reilly’s 12 tackles, held the Vikings to just 14 second-half points, paving the way for the dramatic comeback.
“This was an incredible team effort,” said Montana State head coach Brent Vigen. “Our guys never gave up, and we’re thrilled to get this win.”
The victory improves the Grizzlies’ record to 8-3 overall and 6-2 in Big Sky Conference play. They will look to carry this momentum into their final regular-season game against the Montana Grizzlies on January 16.
