EDMONTON ELKS STUN CALGARY STAMPEDERS IN THRILLING 35-32 COMEBACK VICTORY

 

 

The Edmonton Elks pulled off an electrifying comeback win against their provincial rivals, the Calgary Stampeders, in a thrilling 35-32 matchup at Commonwealth Stadium last night.

 

Trailing 25-10 at halftime, the Elks stormed back in the second half, scoring 25 unanswered points to take a 35-25 lead with just over five minutes remaining. The Stampeders mounted a late surge, but the Elks’ defense held strong to secure the victory.

 

Quarterback Cody Fajardo led the Elks’ charge, throwing for 322 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Javon Leake added 121 yards on the ground and a score.

 

The win improves the Elks’ record to 6-4 and moves them into second place in the CFL’s West Division. The team will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on January
