In an emotional video, retired judge announced that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
He recently celebrated his 87th birthday and said he has received many messages from people around the world. He noted that it is usually one of the happiest days of the year, but this was different.
Judge said that he did not feel well and after a medical examination he was diagnosed.
“I know it’s a long road and I’m fully prepared to fight as much as I can,” he added. It is currently being processed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. “I ask you, each in your own way, to pray for me,” Judge said. “I need the power of prayer, which I believe, apart from the medical treatment I receive, is the most powerful weapon to help me survive this test.”
“Just knowing that you keep me in your thoughts means a lot to me,” she continued. “Thank you for all your past messages. Thank you for your support dear. And please don’t forget to say just a little prayer. I really appreciate this. »
State and local leaders have said they plan to do just that, including Mayor Brett Smiley, North Providence Mayor Charles Lombardi and Assemblyman Gabe Amo.
Judge for his TV series “Caught in Providence,” served in the position for nearly 40 years before retiring earlier this year.
