STAGGS STAYS LOYAL: BRONCOS STAR WANTS FUTURE SORTED SOON
“I’ve always wanted to be at this club… I don’t see myself being anywhere else.”
Brisbane Broncos centre Kotoni Staggs has made a passionate declaration of loyalty to the club, saying he hopes his contract extension is finalised soon.
The 25-year-old, who has been a staple in the Broncos’ backline since his debut in 2018, is off contract at the end of 2025. Despite that, Staggs has no intention of looking elsewhere.
“I’ve always wanted to be at this club as a young kid, and I’ve been here for almost eight years now,” Staggs said. “I don’t see myself being anywhere else.”
Staggs has become a fan favourite at Red Hill for his explosive power, aggressive defence, and fierce loyalty. His comments will come as a boost for the Broncos, who are keen to lock in their core talent as they chase long-term premiership success.
Contract negotiations are ongoing, but both parties are reportedly confident a deal will be reached in the near future.
As one of Brisbane’s most dynamic players, Staggs’ commitment adds strength to the Broncos’ future plans and provides reassurance to fans hoping to see him in maroon and gold for many more seasons.
