Skip Bayless makes a bold statement about Joe Burrow

The Cincinnati Bengals are still in existence, somehow. Zac Taylor’s club has a tiny chance of making the playoffs despite having a terrible start to the season. However, there is optimism when Joe Burrow is present. Burrow kept his squad afloat with yet another impressive performance. After the victory, Skip Bayless referred to him as the world’s best quarterback on X.

That’s a bold statement, but he might not be that far off.

The Bengals’ defense and Zac Taylor’s coaching have cost Burrow this season over and over, but he’s had one of the best campaigns by any quarterback in the history of this game.

The front office needs to address some of those issues in the offseason.

Despite his team’s mediocre record, Burrow has been on an absolute tear all year long.

He’s currently leading the league in pass attempts (606), completions (432), passing yards (4,641), passing yards per game (290.1), and passing touchdowns (42), and he’s only been picked off eight times.

Ja’Marr Chase is on pace to win the wide receiver triple crown, and while he also has plenty to do with this offensive success, it wouldn’t have been possible without Burrow.

The Bengals might not make the playoffs, but if they do, Joe Burrow will be the last person anybody – including Patrick Mahomes – will want to come across in a win-or-go-home situation.
