Week 1 of the NRL finals is upon us, with the Dolphins and Knights set to face off in a battle to the death for the final top 8 on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Sea Eagles will look to secure home advantage with a win over the Sharks.
While those results are still to be determined, we already have an idea of what next week’s games will be and when they might be. The Panthers will host the Roosters at the BlueBet Stadium and are expected to play on Friday night, as the first four games have always been played on Friday or Saturday as a reward for being top of the table.
It’s a move that would make sense as fourth-placed Cronulla are scheduled to return in five days, with the Sharks likely to face the Storm on Saturday.
That would leave Sea Eagles vs Bulldogs and Cowboys vs Dolphins/Knights to fill the remaining spots, with the final schedule to be confirmed on Sunday night.
