Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Kirk Cousins Signs Lucrative Extension
Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota Vikings announced today that they have signed quarterback Kirk Cousins to a multi-year contract extension. The deal, worth a reported $150 million over three years, makes Cousins one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.
Cousins, who has been with the Vikings since 2018, has led the team to several playoff appearances, including a NFC Championship game berth in 2019. Last season, he threw for over 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, earning him a Pro Bowl selection.
“We are thrilled to have Kirk back as our quarterback,” said Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. “He has been a leader on and off the field, and we believe he has the talent and work ethic to lead us to a championship.”
The extension ensures that Cousins will remain with the Vikings through the 2026 season. The team is expected to make several other roster moves in the coming weeks as they prepare for the upcoming season.
