The Detroit Lions are facing significant changes this season, with the departures of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to the Chicago Bears and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to the New York Jets.

During the NFL Scouting Combine, Johnson stirred up some controversy with comments that seemed to throw shade at Detroit. While praising his new quarterback, Caleb Williams, Johnson implied that he hadn’t experienced a playmaker like him in the NFL, subtly criticizing the Lions’ offense and defense. His remarks didn’t sit well with Lions players like Kerby Joseph and Amik Robertson, who quickly responded on social media. Johnson’s comments are likely to fuel Detroit’s motivation to shut down Chicago and contain Williams next season.
