Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown will miss at least the next two games due to a right knee injury, diagnosed as a bone bruise with posterior impingement.

The team announced on Friday that Brown will be reevaluated on Monday. This injury adds to the two games he’s already missed recently for the same issue.
While the Celtics are comfortably holding the second seed in the Eastern Conference, Brown’s injury puts his eligibility for postseason honors in jeopardy. The four-time All-Star has played 56 games this season, and with only 11 games left, he must appear in nine of them to meet the 65-game minimum for All-NBA consideration. Currently averaging 22.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists, Brown’s injury could undermine his chances for postseason accolades.
