The Baltimore Orioles have signed veteran right-handed pitcher Kyle Gibson to a one-year contract, marking his return to the team. Gibson, 37, previously played for the Orioles in 2023, starting 33 games with a 15-9 record, 4.73 ERA, and 151 strikeouts.

With 12 years of MLB experience, Gibson has also played for the Twins, Rangers, Phillies, and Cardinals. Despite not replicating his 2021 All-Star form, he remains an effective starter, posting a 4.24 ERA and 151 strikeouts in 169.2 innings for St. Louis last season. Gibson’s addition comes as the Orioles deal with injuries to starters Grayson Rodriguez and Kyle Bradish.
