This nutritious and delicious casserole from culinary icon Mary Berry requires just one pot and can be served in less than 40 minutes. Plus, your family will definitely love it. This casserole is a dream…
With the cooler nights coming, many of us are looking for a heartier type of dinner that will warm us up and help us feel cozy and full. Mary Berry’s Sausage and Red Pepper Casserole is just that, and it only requires one pot, so you don’t have to spend hours cleaning up afterward. “Shujuk is one of the most comforting foods – choose your favorites for this recipe,” said the celebrity chef. “This all-in-one stew is a complete main course, with a green vegetable if you like, and will please the whole family.” Cook the onion, pepper, carrot and garlic in the pan and fry for about five minutes. Add the stock, tomato paste, tomatoes and thyme and bring the pot to a boil. Add the potatoes and season to taste with salt and pepper. Lower the heat and add the bacon and sausage back to the pan and replace the lid. Cook for about 20 minutes before removing the lid and continuing to cook for another 10 minutes. The sauce should be reduced and the sausage and vegetables should be soft. Serve with any type of green vegetables, such as broccoli. And there you go! A simple and delicious dish, prepared in one pot. You can also prepare this dish up to eight hours in advance and simply return to the boil to cool.
