Kylian Mbappé’s return to form is excellent news for Carlo Ancelotti and his team, as the French forward brings an elite goal-scoring edge. However, Real Madrid’s management continues to explore options for a new striker, with Footmercato reporting that the club has identified a Premier League talent.
The player in question is Jhon Durán, Aston Villa’s highly sought-after striker, considered one of the most promising young forwards.
Real Madrid Joins the Race
Durán has already caught the attention of top clubs, including PSG, and has also drawn interest from Saudi Arabia, where Al-Nassr—Cristiano Ronaldo’s current team—has emerged as a potential destination. The Colombian striker reportedly dreams of playing for the Saudi club.
Nevertheless, Real Madrid has now entered the race for Durán and could disrupt his plans. The Spanish giants are undeterred by the competition and aim to persuade him to choose Madrid over Al-Nassr.
Securing his signing, however, will not be straightforward or cheap. Aston Villa reportedly values Durán at no less than €60 million. Additionally, there are rumors that Real Madrid might consider including their Brazilian starlet, Endrick, in a potential deal, although the club views him as a crucial long-term asset and is hesitant to let him go.
This season, Jhon Durán has been impressive, scoring seven goals in 19 appearances for Aston Villa despite starting only four matches. He has also netted three goals in seven UEFA Champions League games, further highlighting his potential.
