The UNC football program’s star running back, Omarion Hampton, seems to be breaking records every time he steps on the field.
Last week against Wake Forest, the junior posted a career-high 244 yards on the ground and became the first Tar Heel in program history to rush for 100 yards in eight consecutive games.
Hampton also currently has the second-most rushing yards in the nation (1422), trailing only Heisman candidate Ashton Jeanty (1,893).
This week, as the UNC football program travels to Boston College seeking their fourth straight win, Hampton will have the chance to make some more history.
Just 78 rushing yards away from cracking the 1,500-yard milestone on the season, Hampton has the chance to be the fourth ACC player over the past two decades to record back-to-back
1500-yard seasons. He would join a short list of three current NFL superstars: Lamar Jackson, Dalvin Cook, and Travis Etienne.
