The New York Yankees’ lineup takes another hit as Giancarlo Stanton faces new injury concerns. After Juan Soto’s brief stint in the Bronx and subsequent move to the Mets, the Yankees could be without another key slugger for the foreseeable future.

Stanton, who hit 27 homers last season, is sidelined with tennis elbow in both arms — the latest in a string of injuries over the past few years. Having not played more than 114 games in the last three seasons, his status for Opening Day is now uncertain, especially with a personal issue keeping him out of camp. As Stanton’s return date remains unclear, the Yankees are reportedly eyeing a six-time All-Star currently without a team.
