Former BYU Cornerback Jakob Robinson Joins East-West Shrine Bowl Roster as Late Addition

Exciting news for BYU football fans as former standout cornerback Jakob Robinson has been named to the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl roster. Robinson, one of six late additions to this prestigious all-star game, will represent the West team alongside his former teammate Tyler Batty.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back, known for his playmaking ability, leaves BYU as one of the program’s top cornerbacks. Over his four-year career, Robinson recorded 11 interceptions, including a pick-six, and totaled 182 tackles with 21 pass deflections. His stellar performance helped BYU’s defense rise to the No. 1 spot in the Big 12 in 2024.

In his final game as a Cougar, Robinson recorded three tackles in BYU’s Alamo Bowl victory over Colorado. Now, he looks to showcase his skills once more at the East-West Shrine Bowl, where he’ll don the number 34 jersey. Batty, wearing number 92, will also represent BYU on the West roster.
