It seems like there was some intense pregame hype and postgame celebration surrounding the Detroit Lions’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 17. Amon-Ra St. Brown, the Lions’ standout wide receiver, was clearly proud of his team’s performance, boasting about the win with his “We spanked these boys” remark after a solid game in which he caught eight passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. St. Brown also set a personal best this season, with 12 touchdowns in 16 games.

Tensions between the two teams were evident before the game, with 49ers linebacker Fred Warner trying to motivate his team by taking a jab at Lions head coach Dan Campbell. On the flip side, the Lions’ defensive end Za’Darius Smith was caught on camera delivering a fiery message to the 49ers, saying, “Don’t get scared now, motherf**kers,” adding fuel to the fiery atmosphere surrounding the game. It’s clear that both teams were hyped for the matchup, but the Lions ultimately came out on top, with St. Brown’s statement reflecting the confidence and pride the team felt after their victory.
