No. 17 Georgia Tech asserted dominance on Sunday in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, overpowering Boston College with a commanding 71-51 victory. A trio of Yellow Jackets scored in double figures, propelling Tech to its 20th win of the season. Kara Dunn led the charge with a game-high 23 points, marking her seventh 20-point performance this year. Zoe Smith contributed 16 points and grabbed a team-leading 11 rebounds, while Tonie Morgan added 13 points.

The Yellow Jackets controlled the glass, winning the rebounding battle 42-33, and shot an impressive 49.1% from the field. A strong first half from Tech (20-4, 8-4 ACC) left the team in firm control, leading 36-15 at the break. Dunn was the driving force with 15 points in the opening half, as all eight Jackets contributed offensively. Tech shot 43.8% from the floor in the first half, with Dunn’s free throws in the first quarter giving the Jackets an early lead and Smith’s basket in the second quarter pushing the margin to 20. Chazadi Wright capped the half with a jumper, sending Tech into the locker room with a 21-point advantage.
The Yellow Jackets came out firing after the break, embarking on a 9-2 run to extend their lead to 45-17 just over four minutes into the third quarter. Despite a late surge from Boston College, spearheaded by T’yana Todd’s 15-point second-half effort, the Eagles never got within 15 points as Georgia Tech maintained control throughout.
This victory marked Coach Nell Fortner’s third 20-win season since 2019-20, and Tech has now defeated 17 opponents by at least 10 points this season. The Yellow Jackets will next travel to Clemson for a 7 p.m. matchup on Thursday.
