
The 2025/26 World Snooker Tour season is just around the corner, and fans have plenty to look forward to. Here’s a rundown of what to expect:
Season Overview
The season kicks off in June with the Wuhan Open qualifiers in Leicester, featuring 129 players competing across 17 ranking tournaments and several invitational events. The tour will visit various locations worldwide, including China, the Middle East, and Europe.

UK Championship: November 29 to December 7 at the York Barbican
Masters: January 11-18 at London’s Alexandra Palace
World Championship: April 18 to May 4 at The Crucible in Sheffield
World Grand Prix: February 3-8 in Hong Kong
Players Championship: Dates and venue to be confirmed, but expected to feature the top 16 players on the one-year list
Tour Championship: March 30 to April 5 in Manchester
Predictions and Storylines
Several top players are fighting for survival on the tour, including:
Joe Perry: The two-time ranking event champion and former Masters finalist is currently ranked 73rd and needs a strong finish to avoid relegation.
Anthony Hamilton: The 53-year-old former world number 10 is 67th on the end-of-season projections and faces an uphill battle to stay on tour.
Martin Gould: The 2016 German Masters champion has been plagued by injury and is currently 108th on the provisional list.
