Another day, another chapter in the feud between Donald Trump and Jimmy Kimmel. Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late night host used his monologue to respond to a recent interview with the presidential candidate on the Nelk Boys podcast.
“We keep hearing that this is the most important election of our lifetime, and it’s the most important election of our lifetime because we have the funniest primary candidate of our lifetime,” Kimmel said.
“Let’s take a concrete example: Donald Trump just did a podcast with a bunch of guys. Four young brothers who don’t know that the words ‘careful’ and ‘tired’ have different meanings. He added that “once again the conversation he turned dangerously towards me. »
On the podcast, one of the hosts brought up the talk show host, asking Trump, “Are they great or are we going to make them great again?”
“First of all, everybody has bad ratings,” Trump replied. “The most successful is Greg Gutfeld … Jimmy Kimmel is a loser. I would do Jimmy Kimmel. I’ve done a lot.”
Kimmel gleefully joked, “Maybe you’re confusing me with Stormy Daniels?” I do not know. He later confirmed that Trump had appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live three times in the show’s 22-year history. “Not much,” Kimmel said. “Mike from Jersey Shore has been on this show longer than you, but keep going. Kimmel added that Trump’s claim that the host met him outside the studio “every time” and walked him in it wasn’t true.” He likes to tell this made-up story.
“I’ve never been on the sidewalk to greet Donald Trump. Not even any guests. This has never happened… Our guests don’t even come from the sidewalk. They entered from the back door, where they didn’t even stop to greet me. The only time I stepped on the sidewalk for Donald Trump was to step on his star on the Walk of Fame.
The host invited Trump to return, on the condition that he take a cognitive test against Kamala Harris. “I’m definitely going to roll out the burnt orange carpet and go meet him on Hollywood Boulevard,” Kimmel said.
