The Minnesota Vikings will host the Houston Texans on Sunday. Several players have changed jerseys this season. There will be some familiar faces on the bench and the Texans will see some familiar faces in purple. Who is the best match between these players? I list the 4 most likely, not all who played for both teams. Cam Akers
Shaquille Griffin

Danielle Hunter – Hunter had a quiet game in Week 1, but bounced back in Week 2 with 1 1⁄2 sacks against Chicago. Brian O’Neil is listed on the injury report with an elbow injury. If he doesn’t play or slows down at all, Hunter might be able to take advantage. Plus, he’s really good and could do some damage even if the offensive line is healthy.
Stephon Diggs – Diggs had a good first game in Houston with only 33 yards but 2 TDs. 37 yards last week against the Bears when the Texas offense was struggling. Diggs has probably been the most talked about running back, but he’ll have to prove he can do something with CJ Stroud before he’s my pick.
Blake Cashman – Cashman was everywhere last week. That’s one of the main reasons the 49ers offense couldn’t move the ball consistently last week. He leads the team in hitting and I think Eric Kendricks is the best on the field. This could be another big week with CJ Stroud giving the defense a hard time. Jonathan Greenard – Greenard led the team with 7 tackles last week. It only led to a sack for him, but he broke the offense. The stats will come eventually. I think Greenard will look to have a multi-sack game on Sunday. Cam Akers – This isn’t really a revenge game for Akers, but he probably doesn’t like leaving Minnesota after tearing his Achilles tendon. Akers entered last week and had 7 carries for 32 yards. Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce are expected to be out for the Texans. This puts Dare Ogunbowale and Cam Akers into action. This could be Akers’ chance to prove he’s healthy enough to play significant time.
Shaquill Griffin – Griffin played in 10 games last season with the Texans and started 6 times. He was released in the middle of the season with a one-year contract, then went to Carolina. I’m sure he doesn’t like the way he was treated in Houston. He was excellent in the first two games in Minnesota. The teams don’t even shoot a ball. He can have a big impact, but he doesn’t have the statistics to back it up. Hopefully he can get his first INT in purple on Sunday. Case Keenum – just wanted to say hi to Case on IR. I hope your leg heals and you are back next season.
