The Ohio State football program is hiring Marshall this weekend. This is the first game they play after their first bye of the year. This is only their third game of the year, but they should be ready to dominate like they did in each of the first two games against Akron and Western Michigan.
Charles Huff knows what kind of challenge the Thundering Herd faces against the Buckeyes. Huff and his team will probably lose on Scarpa, but that didn’t stop him from trying to take some of the Buckeyes and make them new members of his team. During his press conference, Huff tried to entice Ohio State football players to transfer to Marshall by using a NIL contract the Thundering Herd has with a cookie company as sweetener. He did all this with a touch of irony, of course. Watch the clip below. It’s a pretty fun way to lighten the mood. Huff knows the Buckeyes are the most talented team and his program just takes a check to beat. This does not mean that it is not a valuable experience for their program. These players can learn a lot from this Saturday. This will be the only time they will be able to face a team with such good players. They can compete against the best in the country to see how far they have to go to get there. The Ohio State Buckeyes are better than any team they face in the Sun Belt.
Ohio State is a heavy favorite on Saturday. Will Howard could have a big game. He has yet to play a full game this season and I don’t expect him to on Saturday. He also needs to hit some decent stats before the replacements arrive.
