Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander is expected to be elsewhere in 2025, leaving the team with a potential void at cornerback.

After suspension, Jaire Alexander says he wants to remain with Packers - Sportsnet.ca While Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine are set to return, the Packers will likely need additional help, especially with Eric Stokes expected to leave in free agency. With $49.1 million in cap space, Green Bay could create more room by moving on from Alexander or adjusting contracts. While the draft will likely address the position, free agency begins on March 12, and here are five cornerbacks the Packers could target:

  1. Carlton Davis (Detroit): A physical corner with a strong 2024 season, Davis could be a key addition after his success in Detroit and Tampa Bay.
  2. D.J. Reed (New York Jets): A skilled perimeter defender, Reed’s lockdown ability and experience playing opposite Sauce Gardner make him an intriguing option.
  3. Byron Murphy (Minnesota): After a career year with six interceptions, Murphy could bring playmaking ability and experience to Green Bay’s secondary.
  4. Paulson Adebo (New Orleans): Adebo, recovering from injury, had a strong 2023 season, and if healthy, could provide a mid-level bargain with upside.
  5. Charvarius Ward (San Francisco): Despite a tough 2024, Ward’s 2023 Pro Bowl season shows his potential. If the Packers can convince him to move on from his traumatic past in California, he could be a game-changer.
